At Park View Care Home, we understand that the final stage of life is one of profound importance — for both the individual and their loved ones.
While we are not primarily a palliative or nursing care home, our team is fully skilled, trained and experienced in providing compassionate end-of-life care for our residents when this is needed.
We work closely with families, GPs, community nursing teams and palliative care specialists to ensure that every person’s final journey is supported with:

✅ Clear and compassionate communication with families
Skilled and experienced team
Our team members are trained in end-of-life care principles and best practice, and many have significant experience in supporting residents and families at this stage of life.

✅ Our management team holds Level 5 qualifications and leads a culture of compassionate care
✅ We work in close partnership with external palliative care professionals to ensure the highest quality of care
✅ We provide flexible visiting to enable families to be present and involved
When we provide end-of-life care
While many individuals at this stage of life choose a hospice or specialist nursing environment, Park View is able to provide end-of-life care for:
✅ Residents already living with us who wish to remain in our home
✅ Individuals referred to us for palliative respite or end-of-life support where appropriate
We always assess each situation carefully to ensure that we can meet the person’s needs safely and appropriately.
Where specialist nursing intervention is required beyond our scope, we work closely with community teams and signpost families to the right services.

Our team provides open, compassionate support to loved ones, helping them to feel informed, involved and cared for throughout.
