Facilities that Support Living Well
Designed Around You
Our service facilities have been thoughtfully designed by our in-house experts, shaped by years of research, innovation, and real-world experience for people living with dementia. Every space has been carefully considered to promote wellbeing, engagement, a sense of purpose, and to meet the unique needs of people living with dementia and age-related conditions.
Cinema
Our state-of-the-art 10-seater cinema is a favourite space for residents and families alike. With a 140-inch screen, immersive sound, and comfortable seating, it offers the ultimate viewing experience. Weekly film afternoons, themed movie events, and private family screenings create wonderful opportunities for shared moments and memories — all in a dementia…
Creative Room
Our vibrant Creative Room is designed to inspire self-expression through arts, crafts, and hands-on projects. Whether exploring new hobbies or revisiting old passions, residents can enjoy painting, crafting, model-making, and more. Creative activity helps stimulate memory, build confidence, and provide a powerful outlet for joy and connection.
Exercise Area
Our welcoming Exercise Area supports gentle movement and strength-building — vital for promoting mobility, balance, and overall wellbeing. Tailored programmes include seated exercise, stretching, and functional fitness, helping residents maintain confidence and independence in daily life while reducing risk of falls.
Library
A peaceful space designed for quiet reflection, reading, and relaxation. Stocked with a carefully curated range of books — including large-print, dementia-friendly titles, and life story books — the library supports cognitive stimulation, emotional comfort, and opportunities for reminiscence and connection.
Music Room
Music is one of the most powerful tools in dementia care. Our dedicated Music Room offers a welcoming space where music brings joy, sparks memories, and fosters creativity and connection. Residents can enjoy group singing, one-to-one music sessions, or simply listening to their favourite tunes — supporting cognitive wellbeing and emotional expression
Sports Bar
Our Sports Bar pays tribute to Halifax’s sporting legends and provides a nostalgic, social space where residents and visitors can gather. Themed decor, memorabilia, a big-screen TV for live matches, darts board, and self-serve beer pump create a relaxed, friendly environment where conversation and camaraderie thrive.Types of Care
